Artifacts surface on quests, in events, and along the Saga. A new find rests in your vault until a hero takes it up at court: one weapon, one armor, one trinket each. The dead return their tools to the vault; the tools wait.
Weapons

+1 might, +1 guile.
Forty summers of border work, honed to a whisper.

+2 might, +1 leadership.
Sworn blades keep their edge. This one has been sworn eleven times and broken none.

+2 might, +1 lore.
It hums in firelight. The tune is old, and the words, mercifully, are lost.

+3 guile.
A stiletto of debate-settling reputation. Most disputes concede on sight.

+3 might, +2 leadership; the bearer’s army fights +5%.
It broke the gate of the Hollow City at first light. The city has kept different hours since.

+3 might. Cursed: −1 order each season wherever the bearer stands.
It wins every fight and sours every feast. The smiths refuse to unmake it; it holds grudges.
Armor

The bearer is 10% less likely to die of battle wounds.
Blessed at nine shrines, patched at ten.

+1 might; 15% less likely to die of wounds.
Scales of a thing that nested in the broken throne-hall. It disliked visitors.

+1 leadership; 20% less likely to die of wounds.
Its first owner watched the dead for sixty years and retired undefeated.

+2 lore; your spells cost 10% less while the bearer lives.
Woven from mist by someone very patient or very cold.

+1 might; 30% less likely to die of wounds. Cursed: −1 order where the bearer stands.
It simply refuses to let you die, in a tone that ruins morale.
Trinkets

+2 leadership; +1 order each season where the bearer stands.
It has never gone out. The Watch it served, regrettably, did.

+1 guile; the bearer earns 25% more experience.
Osperan denies ever owning a ring. He denies it in suspicious detail.

+1 Emberlight each season.
A pebble of the old throne, warm as a sparrow. Everyone owns a fake; this one is not.

+2 to quest rolls.
A bone die that always rolls the direction home. Gamblers hate it; the lost do not.

+3 leadership; +2 order each season where the bearer stands.
Not the Ember Crown. A crown for the meantime, say its wearers, and mean it less each year.

+2 guile, +1 to quest rolls.
Both faces show tails. Somehow it keeps winning tosses.
The sealed pages
Three more artifacts belong to the Grand Saga. The Chronicle keeps their pages shut until a hero earns them. The Quests chapter says how.
